Abigail’s background is in research, and she previously worked on several large-scale intervention studies based in Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, University of Oxford, UCL and the University of Sussex, utilising both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. This research largely focused on the intergenerational transmission of psychopathologies, and the prevention of mental health problems in children and young people.
In addition to her PhD, Abigail also holds roles as a Graduate Teaching assistant, and Demonstrator across both undergraduate and postgraduate courses within Queen Mary, University of London.
She is also passionate about improving the involvement and engagement of young people in mental health research, and works to develop spaces within Universities and the NHS where young people with lived experience of mental health problems can lead research.
